Dear friends,
After one year of performing and two EP’s, Boris Ross and I decided to go our separate ways, no hard feelings whatsoever. Boris Ross will still be producing some of Pop On Acid’s tracks. I (Dirk Schmidt) will continue as Pop On Acid and Boris will continue as the same old Boris Ross.

Our 3rd ep is in it’s finishing stage and we will celebrate it with a great party at Rotterdams only real “livestage” Rotown.
Riptide will have his first Rotterdam gig and Ted Langenbach will have one of his last gigs before his beloved Now & Wow Fest will erupt the 17th of December. Italo hero David V will also be headlining!

R.I.P. DJ Mehdi

On 13 September 2011 reports on Twitter came flooding in that DJ Mehdi had died, which were first thought to be a hoax but later confirmed by Ed Banger Records.
According to DJMag, he was on the roof of his home in Paris with a group of friends celebrating the birthday of Riton, his partner in Carte Blanche, when the roof collapsed. A number of others are reported to have been seriously injured in the tragic accident. Riton, aka Henry Smithson, is said to be the only person not to have fallen through the roof.
He is big inspiration for us and wish everybody the best who are close to him! L O V E !
